Following the official launching of Tina Keng Gallery in Neihu, Taipei in October 2009, Tina Keng Gallery - Beijing will also be hosting its grand opening this May. Tina Keng Gallery will be presenting the harvest of a careful cultivation and new aspect since its inception in 2009, featuring 22 represented and collaborative artists in its newly renovated Beijing space. The opening in Beijing not only represents a metamorphosis after a winter of hibernation, but in establishing a site in Beijing, a city of important international artistic exchange, declares that Tina Keng Gallery is ready for flight.

 

Twenty two artists are included in the opening exhibition, including: Masters domestic and overseas, including Xu Jiang, Xiaobai Su, Wang Huai Qing, Zhang Hongtu, Tony Wong, and Li-lan in merging the creative spirit and expression of the East and West, starting from the humanistic tradition of the East, and creating through methods of contemporary expressions. The mid and new-era artists from across the strait include Yang Mao-Lin, Wu Tien-Chang, Lin Ju, Hsu Yunghsu, Ying Hung, Tu Wei-Cheng, Yao Jui-chung, Chen Chun-Hao, Peng Wei, Wang Tiantian, Chu Shu-Hsien, Su Meng-Hung, Hou I-Ting, Su Yu-Hsien, Chen Ching-Yuan, all active with a voice in the international contemporary art world. These artists bring a vibrant and fresh perspective to contemporary art making, through various contemporary mediums.

 

The operations at Tina Keng Gallery - Beijing, retains the foundation of Ms. Tina Keng’s expertise in management, while 2nd-generation Shelly Wu, also brings a strong ambition and action to the gallery. The new Tina Keng Gallery, with its leading art manager and professional team, creates an international and diverse semblance. In recent years, Tina Keng Gallery not only focuses on contemporary Chinese artists, such as Xu Jiang, Wang Huai Qing, Zhang Hongtu, Xiaobai Su, Tony Wong, Yang Mao-Lin, Lin Ju, but also promotes young artists such as Peng Wei, Chu Shu-Hsien, Su Meng-Hung, etc. The diversity in cultural angles covers various dimensions in a century of contemporary Asian artists domestic and overseas.

 

Tina Keng Gallery is looking forward to creating an international Chinese brand of forward-looking, indicative work, and hopes that the site in Beijing along with our artists will create a new Asian viewpoint of this century.
