Overview
This exhibition displays 17 artworks by André Masson, and within the collection, 7 pieces have been exhibited at museums in America and Japan. The subject matter of the collection consists of the artist’s works in the period of surrealism, and the series of works related to Indians and Blacks after he flees to America to escape from the war. The exhibition also shows his works inspired by Chinese calligraphy and created through a painting automatism. The exhibition thus includes Masson’s works from every stage and style.
