WU Tien-chang: Never Say Goodbye’, Collateral Event of the 56th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia
Wu Tien chang 9 May - 22 Nov 2015展期 ｜2015 年 5 月 9 日至 11 月 22 日 地點｜ 義大利威尼斯 普里奇歐尼宮邸 本屆台灣館著眼於展場普里奇歐尼宮作為監獄之本質，推出藝術家吳天章，以「Never Say Goodbye」為註腳，訴說盤旋在每個人心中難以揮別的過往記憶與往日情懷，如同流連在監獄中的鬼魅，因執戀人世間的愛恨情仇，不肯離去。 吳天章利用彷若面具的人工表層皮膜、誇張妖異的意象及魔幻的視覺表現，演繹臺灣底層文化生活及人世間的悲歡離合，並以聲光俱佳的表演方式召喚戰後臺灣西化過程中獨特的時代氛圍與特殊情懷；他以充滿感官魅惑的皮膜及華麗炫目的魔術作為載體，剎那間捕捉觀者之目光，但在洋溢著飽滿繽紛歡愉的色彩背後，作品中的邊緣性人物及鬼魅的調性，實則暗喻人間不忍卒睹的醜陋現實及死亡氣味，以及那些如鬼魂般不斷迴返、揮之不去的創傷經驗。 被皮膜包覆的作品人物，外表看不出喜怒哀樂，然而單一的外表下隱藏的卻是充滿著故事、充滿著各種愛恨情仇的執著與眷戀。他運用充滿感官魅惑的皮膜，除了表達形式上的快感與誘惑外，亦有種以此對抗人類身體終將腐敗消逝之特性的意味，意欲著將美好時刻凝結於當下的渴望，呼應了其作品中那種無法與過去揮別的留戀與不捨，不想說再見，也無法說再見。Continue
